Mr. Stephen tried a jury case to verdict during the week of February 10 to the 17, 2014. His client rear ended a car into the rear end of the Plaintiff’s car. There was a dispute whether the middle car rear ended the Plaintiff independently of Joel’s client. The Plaintiff sued both drivers behind her seeking $200,000 for neck injuries. Joel defended his client on the basis of fault and built a medical defense to the Plaintiff’s injuries. Joel offered $21,000 to settle the case but the Plaintiff rejected the offer. The jury returned a verdict for the Plaintiff for only $27,500 and assessed half of the amount against the middle car and the other half against Joel’s client. Joel did an excellent job on behalf of his client.
