In Febuary 2014, Mr. Srodulski tried a case to verdict before a Cook County jury. The case involved a liability case where the defendant drove his car into the rear of the plaintiff’s car. The plaintiff sued the defendant for injuries to her neck seeking compensatory damages. Complicating the case, Mr. Srodulski’s client was intoxicated and had no recollection of the accident. Based on the client’s intoxication, the plaintiff sought punitive damages as well. Despite these circumstances, Mr. Srodulski persuaded the jury to award damages of only $12,ooo for the neck injury and an award of zero for punitive damages. Mr. Srodulski did a marvelous protecting his client.
